Admittingly, I don't know a lot about Yebba. My first time hearing her music was on Drake's new album, Certified Lover Boy, where she contributed a solo interlude titled "Yebba's Heartbreak." The Memphis singer-songwriter has also worked with artists such as Sam Smith, Stormzy, Chance the Rapper, and Ed Sheeran.
After first listen, I can confidently say that her debut album Dawn is one of the best projects I've had the pleasure of listening to recently. Produced by superproducer Mark Ronson, the 12-track project comes with guest apperances from A$AP Rocky and Smino. It doesn't take long after pressing play on her music to get the sense that Yebba's vocal abilities are clearly superior and her versatility is on full display here.
