Video: Florence + The Machine – Spectrum

Yesterday we gave you the Calvin Harris remixed version of Folrence’s song, and today we’ve got our hands on the official music video for “Spectrum” which was directed by David LaChapelle & John Byrne. Here is what David & Florence had to say about the video:

I’ve tried very hard to find new records from Akon that meet the music quality standards we abide here at 1VIBE, but for a long time I’ve failed to find anything near impressive. Not to knock Akon too heavy, but his sound quality and lyrical content has lacked substance for quite some time now. And if you think maximizing the use of auto-tune is talent, you need to hit the [x] button on your browser right now!

Starting with the release of his new joint titled “Ain’t Sayin Nothin” im hoping that we’ll be seeing more of Akon on the site. The track will be featured on his upcoming mixtape, Konkrete Jungle, hosted by Dj Whoo Kid and Evil Empire.

I bet ya’ll ain’t heard something like this in a while. Up top is the latest visual offering from Brooklyn’s young lyricist, 17-year old Joey BadA$$, who trades bars with CJ Fly displaying flow-patterns that remind us of the 1999 NYC rap era. Directed by Coodie and Chike, the new single “Hardknock” will be featured on Joey’s upcoming project titled “1999″ dropping on June 12th. We’ll be keeping an ear out for the kid, so make sure to check back on 1VIBE for new material.
