With their upcoming album “Welcome To: Our House” being pushed back to an August 28th release date, Shady Records rap-group Slaughterhouse enlist producer El-P to remix their recent single “Hammer Dance“. Personally I haven’t been fully supportive of the current released album content, but i’m feeling this remix as it brings with it a fresh perspective of the original track. I hope Joe Budden, Crooked I, Joell Ortiz and Royce da 5’9” got that raw cooking in the kitchen cuz we desperately need something crazy from the group right about now!

Music: Dropxlife – Pawncho (12×12)

It’s a very rare occasion when we post about a project which we know very little about. But that’s exactly what we expect from artists coming out of the XO crew in Toronto. We first featured Drop on 1VIBE back in January when he released his instrumental mixtape, Furthur. Since then he’s been releasing more content on the DL.

Starting three months ago, the Toronto producer began to release new instrumentals on his YouTube channel under the alias “Pawncho” for a project which we are guessing (based on his YouTube channel info) is titled “12×12“. So far six tracks have been released in total with “8xHundred” (located up top) being the latest of the drops. Taking creativity to the next level and continuing to create a mysterious space around him, Dropxlife has chosen to compile each instrumental with a unique description providing a whole new perspective into his sound.
