Drake and his OVO team are known to break rules and do things the unconventional way. Something we can all be proud of is the control that Drake has over his own product. Known to be hands-on with the release of his content, Drake showed us once again what is possible with the release of Marvins Room. Watching the video, one can’t help but get a feel of that So Far Gone vibe, which is exactly what Drake and his producer 40 have promised to deliver fans on his upcoming album Take Care. The album’s official release date is October 24, 2011.

Video: Mellowhype – 64

Hodgy Beats and Left Brain of Odd Future released a dope video for their single “64” featured on their “BLACKENEDWHITE” album which is in stores now. You know when a video clearly makes a song much better? This is one of those times and thanks to director Matt Alonzo, Mellowhype certainly have one of the best music videos of the year.

Music: Bad Meets Evil – Welcome 2 Hell

Welcome 2 Hell is the intro track to Bad Meets Evil’s (Eminem & Royce Da 5’9) latest album, Hell: The Sequel. It also happens to be our favorite song on the album which overall I have mixed feelings about, but it did debut at number one on the US Billboard charts. The album also earned Eminem his second number one album in a 12-month period (his first being Recovery), making him the first artist in five years to have done so.

Music: Skepta – Dare To Dream

If this is the first time you have heard about this song, the story goes like this: UK rapper Skepta previewed Dare To Dream on the radio and was happy to announce that it would be his new single. Not long after, Interscope Records boss, Jimmy Iovine, pulled a few strings and purchased the song from Skepta and his team to be used by Eminem. 

Here is to hoping that Em will include Skepta in the final version of the song or the remix, we thought you should have a listen to the original before it was passed on.
