Music: Coakley – EgoTrippinIntermission

Back in December 2011, 1VIBE introduced you to Coakley (1/3 of The Union collective from TX). Since then the homie has been busy crafting his new mixtape “Lady Sanctuary” featuring a screwed up rough underground sound that we fucking love. The project was recorded in a weeks time inside Coakley’s closet and he also personally engineered each of the 9 featured tracks.

Since we really mess with The Union, we asked Coakely to let us give you another track from the mixtape before it drops later today. The song is titled “EgoTrippinIntermission” and is about how every man is different, some have big egos and think everyone in the world wants them, some aren’t confident at all, and then there are those who lie to themselves about who they are. What’s very unique about the track is when Coakely threw in a rappers ego with the screwed up rapping in the background. Plus the instrumentals you hearing are from Erykah Badu and The Roots. If the thought didn’t translate before, let me remind you again, The Union is slowing shit down in the worst way, and if you bump that screw, you know what im talking about!
