On November 11, 2011, ILuvLola hosted French Montana in Toronto to perform live in concert and celebrate his birthday inside Koolhaus. Opening sets were performed by Toronto’s own Luu Breeze & Big Lean. French also brought out Belly as a special guest to perform in front of a sold out crowd. 1VIBE was invited to document the show and meet with French Montana for an exclusive interview.
During the interview we spoke about his childhood experiences, how he turned hip-hop into a career, his relationship with rapper Max B, leaving Akon’s Konvict label, working with Jadakiss, creating the Coke Boyz movement, how he met Chinx Drugz, his experience being part of the 2011 BET Hip-Hop Awards Cypher, the rumored record deals with Maybach Music, Bad Boy Records and G.O.O.D.
