Instrumental Mixtape: The Voices Inside The Notes (Prod by. Impress)

When discussing the re-launch of 1VIBE many project ideas were brought to the table for consideration. One of the good ideas was to begin an instrumental mixtape series where 1VIBE collaborates with music producers to create original compilations of beats with unique concepts in mind. The awesome part is, these mixtapes will all be FREE to download, and we hope to provide quality beats for artists to use for promotional purposes while connecting them with producers.

For the first instrumental mixtape project I decided to hit up my good friend/producer Impress. Ever since I can remember, Impress was always working on beats. I guess you can say back in highschool he was the “go-to-producer”. Eventually with practice and experience earned through music school, Impress continued to grow his quality of work and began producing for larger production companies.

When the time came, I finally got in the lab with Impress and we tossed a few ideas around. We decided on a concept that depicted that “not only songs with vocals, but even instrumentals (music notes) carry a message (voice) inside them”. The best experience during the creation of this project was collaborating on the production of “Voices” which serves as the intro instrumental to mixtape. Each song was given a title based on the emotion/feeling being delivered through the vibe of the sounds/rhythms it contains. More simply put, we wanted to give life to each instrumental, giving you an idea of what to expect before pressing play. With that being said, this is our first try at this new 1VIBE series and we hope that you enjoy the music and support us in spreading the work to up and coming artists and producers.
